Auburn Hills, Michigan, July 31, 2025- BorgWarner has successfully secured two key turbocharger businesses for a globally renowned automaker's next-generation models, covering the European and North American markets. The company will provide a mature exhaust bypass valve turbocharger suitable for 1.0-liter gasoline engines for the new generation of compact and light commercial vehicles in the European market, with plans for mass production in August 2027. Meanwhile, BorgWarner will also provide high-performance turbochargers for 3.0-liter gasoline hybrid models in the North American market, expected to enter mass production in September 2028.

BorgWarner's wastegate turbocharger is designed specifically for small displacement gasoline engines, featuring robust structure and high efficiency. This product precisely adjusts the boost pressure through the traditional bypass valve mechanism, balancing power output and fuel economy, without the need for complex system modifications. It has excellent durability, cost advantages, and long-term supply capabilities, becoming an important advantage in the trend of supplier integration. The product will be locally produced at the company's factories located in Reschof, Poland and Ramos, Mexico, further strengthening BorgWarner's strategic commitment to operational efficiency and customer centricity.
