After our company's technical dismantling and inspection of the damaged turbocharger, we found that there is a common point that the turbocharger is all due to bearing wear caused by high-temperature burning of the shaft, resulting in the failure of the turbocharger. After communicating with the customer, we have reported that the engine temperature is higher than normal.
solutionRegarding this turbocharger, the previous oil cooled middle body has been replaced with a water-cooled middle body, and a water jacket has been installed to cool the turbocharger. After modification, the customer conducted on-site installation experiments and found that the lifespan of the turbocharger has been extended by 2/3 compared to before.
